Last week we found out that we were successful in getting funding from the Arts Council Emergency Fund. This fund is to support creative organisations to continue their work as well as find new ways of working during and after this extraordinary time. It will enable Dingy Butterflies to continue to work in Gateshead, as well research the future of community art practice.
In the next few days we will be putting a call out for Gateshead based creative people to work on a community project. It is important at this time that we support communities, in particular the vulnerable, as well as creative people. Many of whom as freelancers, have lost work due to the lockdown situation.
