This is a belated blogpost about some of the workshops that took place January to March 2026. We are now in the middle of a break for Easter and will be back refreshed mid-April.
After collecting the willow the group continued making their foraging baskets. Once everyone got into the groove of weaving their baskets the session settled into a relaxing atmosphere. This was a lovely session that allowed the group to chat and share stories.”

The following week was a particularly special week where we were visited by Katie Pollard, a local natural dye artist. She led the group through a wonderful workshop where we got to dye fabric, and create with the Shibori that we made previously. We plan to use the materials we dyed today with the group in future sessions.

Then we were back at Shipley Art Gallery to start our next project, working on our patchwork quilt. Each person will make their own individual patch to later be brought together as one quilt. We got to use some of the fabric we dyed with Katie and we used scraps of donated fabric. We look forward to showing this off at our exhibition in October 2026!”
