After the visit to the Shipley we were back at the Comfrey Project to finish working on our Cyanotype prints that were made last year. With the fabric prints all dry, the group were able to add colour by needle and thread to their prints. This workshop allowed for a lot of time for conversation which was lovely.

This was the first week of a two week workshop where the group learnt how to make foraging baskets out of willow. They harvested willow from the Comfrey gardens and the group started on their baskets. The beginning is the trickiest part of crafting these baskets. The second week the women will be rewarded with a much more relaxing session as they each finish up their baskets! We can’t wait to showcase these baskets later this year.
