Meet our new Project Coordinator
Tom Robinson will be working with us as Project Coordinator on Bees of Bensham, supporting Barbara Keating in developing the project and working with the community over the next two years.
Tom is an experienced community project coordinator and group facilitator with a background in community arts, community development and youth work. Tom worked as a community musician for Sage Gateshead‘s Comusica program for 10 years, running DJ and music technology workshops for hard to reach groups across the region, as well as working on a wide variety of freelance community arts projects. More recently Tom managed the youth and community activities at The Soundroom, a community music studio based in Bensham and built a successful program of activities for a wide range of participant groups. As well as working on the Bees of Bensham project, Tom works for Best of Bensham as a community development worker, with much of his work being around helping local people develop their outdoor spaces and grow plants for wellbeing. Tom is a DJ and sound engineer and spends his summer weekends gigging at festivals and providing sound hire for events.
