From January to March 2025 we teamed up with Tyne Derwent Way to create a programme of FREE Drop in creative workshops for the community of Dunston. The project worked from their new community space running arts workshops reflecting on the amazing Tyne Derwent Way on the doorstep. Each Thursday and Saturday a different artist joined us to run free creative activities suitable for all ages. We have since been invited back to develop more workshops and activities at the space over the next few months. This time we will be working with curator and producer Justine Boussard, theatre maker Liv Hunt and artist Chris Folwell to co-create a series of workshops and activities inspired by Justine’s Amateur Ancestor project as a way of engaging people with their community.
